Last night I joined a couple of dozen Black River Astronomical Society Members at The Nielsen Observatory to view the upcoming Camelopardalids Meteor Shower. Between the hours of 22:30-Midnight we collectively saw 15 Camelopardalids and 6 Sporadics. After midnight we never saw another meteor, but my camera captured two Camelopardalids and one sporadic between the hours of 2 and 4am. All images in this album shot with a Canon 60Da AstroCamera with a Samyung 8mm fisheye lens.

The June 9th, 2011 Supernova Explosion in M5121 viewsUsually Supernovae are dim and isolated to some obscure part of the sky, making them all to difficult to find and image.
